Friday Freebie for TBA

Welcome back to my world of crazy!

Since today was my designated day to post something for Friday Freebies over at the fabulous Teaching Blog Addict site!

Ever have those times where you wish you had a quick print out to give your students when you want to celebrate a birthday or retirement? Or what about when a student has been out sick? Or lost a family member?

I learned the best idea from my supervising teacher while I was student teaching. She had these pre-made templates for special occasions that she would just copy and pass out. Then the kiddos would fill out the sheet and place inside a large piece of construction paper. Staple along the side. Decorate the front and back.

Voila-you have a very special and meaningful book that those students or adults will cherish forever (at least I hope the do-I am basically basing this assumption on the fact that I love receiving special notes so why wouldn't everyone else??)

Click here to find a whole packet of special notes!
The file contains:
Welcome to Our Classroom
Welcome to First Grade
(Welcome to all the grades up to 6th grade)
Thank You
Happy Retirement
Happy Birthday

Thinking of You

Hope you enjoy & don't forget to visit TBA for an amazing resource of teachers!

This looks so wonderful! Unfortunately, GoogleDocs says it is not available. I will come back and try again later.

I'm sorry to hear about your job situation. God will remain with you and lead you where He wants you.

Ok ladies, I think the problem is fixed! If it's not, please let me know so I can send them directly to you! Don't want to disappoint any more, since I was a day late on getting the Friday Freebie up :)

Ali-Thank you! I'm praying a door will open for me somewhere before the next school year starts. I can't imagine not going to work with kiddos everyday! I'm from Olean so if there's anything open near you, I might be willing to apply to it!!

These downloads are awesome! Thank you! I am sorry to hear about your job situation. I am not sure where you live but there have been tons of cut backs here in GA too. We lost 6 teachers this year and then we made title 1 and now we have several spots open. Which is weird because we had to let 6 teachers go already! Nuts! I am sure it will work out for you, you seem like a great teacher! :) Keep applying!

Hi, first of all I wanted to thank you for the freebie! I really appreciate you sharing. Second, I scrolled down and read your previous two posts. :( I am so sorry for the situation you are in! With 320 blogs in Google Reader I frequently skim past blog entries and sometimes miss important stuff like those posts. I am saying a prayer for you right now! I don't understand why you are in the situation your in but I know that God is ALWAYS in control and He sees the big complete picture. He promises a 'hope & a future' for you and although He doesn't say everything is good..He does say He works all things for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose! Since this comment is already long, instead of me posting here, I was going to give you my 'tough times' playlist. I've gone through a lot of struggles in the last several years and these songs have helped me to have hope, calm, confidence, and get things in the right perspective. If you are interested please email me at
Thanks, Nancy
